A Book Stand as a Gift for Book Lovers

A book stand is a real convenience for every real lover of books. Currently marketed designs range from straight forward wire creations like the Fold'N'Stow that supports a book at user selectable angles on virtually any flat surface, to the elegantly conceived and executed LEVO Bookholder which embraces a book in either a floor stand model or a clamp-on design that securely clamps to just about any table, desk, or counter top. Most book stand models work best with hardcovers, but most also can function very nicely with paperbacks held by book holders such as an OpenPage.

The Fold'N'Stow is among the least expensive of book stands. It folds virtually flat and comes with it's own convenient pouch punched for easy placement in a three ring binder. It may be used on a counter top for cook books, or atop a desk, table, workstation, bench, etc. Wire arms with page holders swing out from the back to secure your book open, and, by moving the arms either closer together or farther apart, smaller and larger books may be easily accommodated. The back plane also has horizontal pieces that may be moved to adjust the angle at which the book is held relative the substrate.

The LEVO's most popular book stand is the LEVO floor stand model, which includes a weighted rolling base for easy movement just about anywhere. Wherever you position it, the LEVO will position in just about any position. Incorporating a bookboard that adjusts into virtually any position, and coupled with a book mounting system that will secure your book or other reading material, even in an inverted position, the LEVO enables hands-free reading practically anywhere.

The LEVO Clamp On model is just as handy as the LEVO Floor Model, but incorporates a clamp that securely attaches to any desk, table, counter top, work bench or other flat surface up to 2 inches thick, and offers the same movements as the floor stand model, without the degree of telescoping movements vertically. By holding your book off the surface to which it is attached, the desk model saves the weight and expense of the weighted rolling floor base while conserving valuable work space, since your book doesn't rest on the surface.

While there are other book stand designs available, the LEVO and Fold'N'Stow designs have stood the test of time and hold up well to constant use.
